WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND!

The conversion of the Drummond Hotel into an upper and lower town house in 1988 was one of Lorn’s very early development enterprises, and indeed one of several hotels including the Nelson, The Royal Circus, New Town, and Edward’s and Gloucester that we successfully converted into residential use.

The conversion of the Drummond was poignant for Lorn being his local spot with its spectacular aspect overlooking the tennis courts from its unique third storey conservatory.

After sensitively restoring it into two homes, he was delighted to sell the upper house to Kirsty McGregor, and now, thirty years on, has just completed the renovation for his dear friend in her present home on Abercromby Place.

What is equally special is the great news that Kirsty’s son-in-law Harry Maitland has become head of marketing at Savills for Fife and Perthshire and we offer him our heartiest congratulations.

We wish Savills every success in finding a purchaser, to become the next custodian of this fine New Town Home.
